Stuart’s first venture into stock car racing came in
the 1992 season; When Stuart had several outings in the Brisca
Ministox’s. Stuart did not really take to this formula and decided to
learn his trade as a stock car mechanic, helping his brother Andrew in
his quest for Formula 1 honours.
In the year 2000 Stuart entered the V8 Stock car
formula in an old Cayzer car. This was a very good first season for
Stuart and he soon found his feet in this Formula.
In the winter of 2000 Stuart started to build his own
V8 for 2001 and he found great success with it taking the V8 Nationals
and National points in only his second season in the sport, he also
won the Northern and Midland Championship. In the latter part of the
2001 season Stuart had a meeting in his brother Andrew’s F1 at
Northampton. He put in a very respectable performance, finishing 2nd
to John Lund after a last bend attempt for the lead.
In 2002 Stuart continued to race V8’s, after being
robbed of victory in the V8 Nationals at Belle Vue, he had to settle
for winning the National points for the second year in a row.
Stuart has spent his time since the 2002 season
finished building his own F1 and it is due for completion some time in
the early months of the 2003 F1 season.
